Launched in 2018, FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art is a free, public contemporary art exhibition comprised of artist commissions, performances, films, and public programs that takes place across Cleveland, Akron, and Oberlin every three years. Its inaugural edition An American City, which was curated by Artistic Director Michelle Grabner, generated over 90,000 visitors from more than 25 countries and brought $31 million in new economic activity to the region. Oh, Gods of Dust and Rainbows, the second iteration of FRONTInternational, will run from July 16 through October 2, 2022. Building on the success of the first edition, FRONT 2022 will further the Triennial’s commitment to stimulating new and sustained cultural conversations within the region. FRONT welcomes visitors of all abilities, ages, backgrounds, genders, races, and religions and is committed to providing opportunities for meaningful inclusion. Amid a time of ongoing tragedy and loss, FRONT 2022 explores how artmaking offers the possibility to transform and heal us — as individuals, as groups, and as a society. Spanning over twenty-five sites in Cleveland, Akron, and Oberlin, the exhibition bears witness to the region’s past and present scars, from the environmental degradation caused by industrial production to police violence and urban fracture. Due to redistricting, she will be running in a newly designed area that includes: parts of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, East Cleveland, Highland Hills, North Randall, Shaker Heights, University Heights and Warrensville Heights. During her last term she served as the President of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus, worked across party lines to enable drivers license reform, has been an ardent advocate for improved health outcomes for black women, and has brought thousands of dollars back to NE Ohio. We’re days away from the 5th Annual Greek Softball Classic event powered by The Cochran Firm Cleveland and #CourtneyCoversCleveland can't wait to play BALL with her Oh So Pretty Team of AKA's ! We’re asking all adults to donate $10.00 which will support 10 scholars from the Greater Cleveland area who are attending an HBCU this fall. We’re asking you to come out and enjoy a great day in our community. Be entertained by your local Cleveland Police Department vs Vanguards of Cleveland at 12 pm. Immediately after you will see the members battle it out on the softball field to earn another year of bragging rights. There will be trucks, live Dj, Shaw High School marching band, face painting for the kids, ice cream and other fine treats. Did I forget to say the 50/50 raffle ? A bounce house and dunk tank! You won’t want to miss this one. Battle of the Shield game starts at 12 pm Greek Softball Classic starts at 2 pm.
