eCLEctic connects you with global cultural trends through the NEO artists and producers pushing them forward here and beyond. eCLEctic events mix brain and body, providing you with the kind of smart/social experiences you prefer. The history and influence of Northeast Ohio women in Hip-Hop is palpable, but often ignored. Spring boarding from Martine Syms' current exhibition, An Evening with Queen White, this eCLEctic celebrates the female radio personalities, DJs, visual artists, and entrepreneurs who have shaped Hip-Hop here and beyond. Hear stories and experience live performance as we explore the challenges and triumphs of women in this traditionally male-dominated industry.
I'm sharing this on #CourtneyCoversCleveland because although I always attend, this is the first year the event is free and open to the public. I think it's important for people to know what's going on in the city we work in live! I'm personally encouraging City of Cleveland residents, neighborhood organizations, business leaders and members of the general public to attend for an evening of civic engagement at Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s 2018 State of the City. The event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. in Cleveland Public Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. Remarks begins at 7 p.m. This event offers open seating and a new more community-focused and affordable address format. Registration is required by Oct. 5! The Mayor has consistently communicated that increased public safety, balanced budgets, increased services to every neighborhood; ongoing school reform and economic growth in healthcare, education, research, financial services and manufacturing have come through the collective work of multiple sectors of the city. The State of the City will highlight that continued cooperative approach to Cleveland’s evolution into a great city. Since Mayor Jackson’s first address, he has changed the State of the City format a few times. Follow […]
