As you may have seen on Instagram, I’m sooo super excited about reading the book “Becoming” by Michelle Obama. I’m actually enjoying it so much, that I decided to have a local Meet Up to discuss! It’s nothing that #CourtneyCoversCleveland has done before, but thats how much I love this book and of course the author, Michelle Obama! I literally love her whole entire life!!!! I’m so inspired by her story that I know it’s going to make for a great discussion amongst women. I’m encouraging everyone to read it.
Now that it’s been released that Michelle Obama is coming to Cleveland, this event is so timely and more just another reason to read Becoming!!! Not only that, but as we countdown to a New Year, this book is the perfect way to get both motivated and inspired. It’s a great way to reflect on our own personal lives and journeys, and to use her story to help us develop and grow as women. Just to reiterate (something I’ve previously stated numerous times), I firmly believe in staying in my own lane so although many have asked, I will never… ever… start a Book Club. While I do enjoy reading, I’ve never had the desire to start a club nor do I have the time. I do however, believe in supporting other women and creating partnerships. So to make this event a for sure success, I’ve teamed up with awesome friend Jazmine Marie who is the co-founder of The Brunch Book Club. She will facilitate the AWESOME conversation we are going to have about this book.
Soo… drumroll please… the first #CourtneyCoversCleveland Meet Up will be December 27th, 2018 at 7pm! This private event will be held at another great and local Cleveland business, Elite Bistro on Lee Road, in Cleveland Heights. There will be a small cost of $20 per person, which includes light appetizers, wine and of course our facilitated conversation. All are invited to attend, but there is a limited amount of seating so reserve your spot today!
