A Courtney Covers Cleveland 6 STOP, GIRL’S DAY OUT!

This holiday season my aunt came to me and said Court plan a #CourtneyCoversCleveland day for us while we are in town. I replied… say less! No one should visit Cleveland and think we have nothing to do and no where to go! See my aunt grew up here but moved away, so my cousins only came for visits but never really as adults. From my posts and blog they could see how much Cleveland has changed BUT… I wanted them to experience is for themselves. I went into full planning mode super excited to plan a full day around exploring CLEVELAND!

So I knew the day would involved mimosas in the morning and drinks throughout the day so I didn’t want to worry about anyone driving. I rented a Sprinter so we had a driver for the day from @216eliteluxury and and ordered custom glasses thanks to @memoriesbybee for everyone to have. Once we were loaded into the sprinter with Whitney Houston blasting– and my aunt in tears from the excitement… we were on our way! Our day included 6 stops- some at my favorite places and some which required us to try new experiences together! It was literally 12 hours of nonstop fun.. check out what we did below.

THE FIRST STOP

Our first stop was to Daybreak Yoga Studio (@daybreak.yoga) a black owned yoga studio where I booked a private session for us to: Surrender the need to control. Surrender the way you think things should be, have to be. Surrender the need to be perfect. Surrender the desire to please people. Surrender the business. Surrender the tiredness. Surrender the unrest. It was an amazing way for us to start our day- through yoga and meditation. I’ve never been a yoga person but this experience was everything and I promise #CourtneyCoversCleveland will be back.

THE SECOND, THIRD and FOURTH STOP

So the next stop on our Girl’s Day was Pinecrest (@discover_pinecrest) because if you haven’t been to Cleveland in awhile it’s a great development to showcase what’s new. It’s also very walkable- which I love! The bonus is that this particular stop was a 3 in 1.

First we stopped Pinstripes (@pinstripesbbb) for a light lunch. I always get the signature chop salad and BBQ chicken flatbread which are always good. My cousin explored both the Vegan and GF menus which I didn’t even know they had. Oh- and the bartender Aaron makes great drinks! I usually start with a mimosa then end with a Lemon Drop or Margarita!  I love it here because they also have a bowling alley. It works for almost anything you have in mind, dates, girls day’s or family outings with the kids.

Second, we walked directly across the street to The Candle Studio (@thecandlestudio)  which was a first time experience for all of us. I wanted to make sure we created something we could take home and always remember this day and the candles were just that. It was also fun and relaxing to sit down and talk and just enjoy being together. This interactive experience was fun from start to end, especially selecting products and mixing scents.

Third, we walked right next door to The Last Page (@thelastpagerestaurant) one of my favorite places to enjoy a drink. It’s was also a great place to lounge as we waited 1.5 hours for our candles to finish. I just loveeee the vibe and music here- shoutout to the GM AJ for taking good care of us! I ordered my favorite drink the Mystic as we relaxed, enjoyed great cocktails and more conversation. Then we hopped back in the sprinter for the next stop.

THE FIFTH STOP

We headed over to Cedar Lee! I loveee this strip because no matter how long you spend away from Cleveland- it’s always thriving with both new and old businesses. I decided to take them to my favorite place to eat a boil bag in the city. It’s a small little place but it’s full of flavor. Of course I’m talking about Lee Seafood Boil! I always get a pound and a half of crab legs, with shrimp (HEADS OFF) homemade juicy flavor and HOT! It’s perfect and soooo very filling. We were all stuffed and lucky for us we walked to the last stop!

THE LAST STOP

As I hinted above, after dinner we literally walked across the street to end our fabulous day at Cle Urban Winery (@cleurbanwinery) ! It was the perfect place for a nightcap and I love supporting this small business owner, my friend Destiny ! I’ve had multiple events here and enjoy coming here with my husband or girls, just to grab a glass of wine and relax. My go to wines are always the Blackberry Merlot and the Peach Chardonnay. This time I also tried the wine infused hot cocoa. We had the table in the back and ended the night recapping our amazing day together exploring CLEVELAND!

Sooo… all in all it was an amazing day with Courtney Covers Cleveland with my family! I tell you guys all the time.. there’s so much to so in CLE just get out of your comfort zone.
