THANK YOU to all 50 of the beautiful women who attended the first #CourtneyCoversCleveland Becoming Michelle Obama Meet Up! The event was everything we hoped for and more! Thank you for being transparent and engaging in an intimate conversation with us about how certain passages in the book aligned with your personal lives. We were in awe and truly moved that so many women stood up and shared how certain things in the book resonated with them in every day life. Like many of you, I wish the conversation could’ve gone on longer and that is something we have noted for the next event!
Thank you to the entire staff at Elite Bistro for hosting us! The appetizers and specialty Courtney Covers Cleveland drinks were amazing. For those who weren’t there, the drinks were called “Becoming Me” which was a lemon drop and “Becoming More” which was a mixed drink with Crown Apple. Guests also enjoyed red and white wine with the purchase of their event ticket.
Thank you to Jazmine Marie for facilitating our icebreaker and awesome discussion. Your guidance and story sharing really helped to enhance the conversation. Thank you Memories By Dee for the custom wine glasses! Everyone enjoyed taking home their “Becoming” glasses.
Thank you Michelle Obama for writing such an inspirational book! Your life story was so moving, it was also both motivational and inspirational. It gave us something positive to talk about and so many topics that we could relate to as women, moms and wives.
I hope those who attended had a great time (which you all said you did in your post event survey LOL). As always, it is my hope to continue to bring new and exciting events that you love! This was a great way to end 2018… stay tuned for more in 2019!
