I’m honestly still blown away! The last Ladies Night was absolutely amazing. The event sold out in less than 24 hours! Meaning more than 130 people purchased tickets and vendor tables. I couldn’t believe it! It was at that moment I knew the ladies needed a break and a good time and that’s exactly what we did.
The theme was SHINE! So I asked the ladies to show up wearing sexy sequins, or anything that glitters that makes them SHINE! Let’s just say everyone.. literally everyone in attendance understood the assignment and showed up looking absolutely stunning. I don’t know if it was the pandemic but the ladies were ready to get out and get together. I always love this event, but this time it was a little extra special.
We had nonstop fun, the room as filled with laughter from the time that the doors opened until we stayed an HOUR OVER the 10pm planned ending time. We shopped, we played adult musical chairs, and of course danced and enjoyed GIRL TALK all night long. So what did we talk about you ask? Well you had to be there for the part but here are a few of the topics:
- Self- Care and Mental Health, what that looks like and how we manage it
- Panties or thongs (or commando which half of the audience preferred LOL)
- Why hasn’t my boyfriend proposed after 10 years
- How to leave someone in a physically and verbally abusive relationship
- Sex (literally you image it and we talked about it lol)
- Dating men with children/ becoming a blended family
- Dealing with being FIRED from a job AND SO MUCH MORE!
I promise if you missed it, you won’t want to mix the next one. We really didn’t want to leave.
I’m very intentional about everything! Who I support, how people feel when they attend my events, how people walk away feeling when they leave. It all matters to me, it’s why I do what I do and why I will continue. I could not do this alone… so THANK YOU to everyone who helped bring my vision to life! ALL OF MY PARTNERS WERE BLACK WOMEN!
