ANOTHER AMAZING LADIES NIGHT – FALL EDITION

Last week I hosted another SOLD OUT Ladies Night! It was everything I hoped it would be and more. With over 80 women in attendance, and 7 vendors, everyone had an amazing night! As you can see from above, I couldn’t fit everyone in one picture so instead of one group picture there are two!

I think it’s safe to say we had a GREAT night of fun from such a diverse group of women and perspectives! I was happy to see such a wide range in ages not only attending but speaking throughout the night really help provide various perspectives. The conversation facilitated by me and my extremely talented, and gifted (she has such a way with words) cohost Jazmine Marie was HOT and DEEP (whew lawd it was soooo real) yet fun and enlightening- thank you ALL for feeling comfortable enough to be so honest and transparent about so many situations we ALL go through as women! We were able to learn so much from each other and that’s what I enjoy most! From the wine- to the dancing we were able to let loose and enjoy each other all night!

This time we covered topics including but not limited to: being a side chick, knowing your mate is cheating and staying, how do you prepare for marriage, what does it mean to be submissive, are “toys” okay in the bedroom, how do you know someone is the right person, how do you balance your life… and more!

I’ve decided to keep the details of my events to a minimum moving forward. I share a lot of details, and to keep them exclusive I will refrain from helping anyone duplicate (lol). I will say, the pictures and comments from those who attend, should let you know if you haven’t been, you are truly missing out.

I would like to thank Sadie’s Social Complex for hosting us, thank you DJ Nay  for keeping us dancing all night long, thank you to Subcity and Prepped 4 LIfe for your food donations, thank you to my friend Brittany Renfrow for the beautiful fruit veggie and dip display (while  9 months pregnant almost ready to pop), thank you The Socialite Booth for the photobooth and custom frame, and thank you Natasha Herbert for capturing it all!! Thank you to all my amazing small business owners for being vendors! Gimmeahand for providing massages,  Shades of Shaded, Soletique, Mias Miracle Body Butter,  Joycethemomager,  AK fashion firm and Mirror Me. I encourage everyone to support these minority owned businesses!

THANKS for all the support you ladies show me and my events!

  • Who’s ready for the #CourtneyCoversCleveland private screening of Bad Boys 3 tonight? After filling the first theater at 140, I moved to the larger one and still have 10 seats open! If you don’t a ticket you still have time. .
.
The last time I rented the theater was for the Adults Only Viewing of Lion King, which as you can see was a good time!
.
.
Renting the theater is an easy way for us to come together and do something fun, while also supporting certain films. So far I’ve done highly anticipated releases, but I plan to be more intentional in supporting minority casts and filmmakers! In June, I will rent the theater again for the movie SOUL- so parents be ready! .
.
As always thanks to all those who support me, looking forward to having some fun this evening!
  • After posting about Cleveland’s first Instagram museum @winterwondercleveland I had a lot of people inquire about the price! Well... for the next three weeks that it’s open (it will close January 26th) you can use code “COURTNEY” to receive 50% off of the ticket price! .
.
That’s a huge savings! Take advantage of that AWESOME deal and take your friends or kiddies for a good time! .
.
Not only is this something cool to do, but it’s an easy way to support Cleveland’s Creative community! Jason brought something different to Cleveland and it’s something we should support! #courtneycoverscleveland #thingstodoincle #instagrammuseum #thisiscle #visitmeincle #cleveland cle #clevelandinfluencer #clevelandblogger
  • Last night I had the pleasure of attending The @cleveorch 40th annual free concert in celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. .
.
I’ve honestly been wanting to go to this event for yearssss but its always SOLD OUT. For the first time, thanks to #CourtneyCoversCleveland I was able to attend as a member of the press.
.
.
The night began with a presentation of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Awards (given to individuals who have positively impacted Cleveland in the spirit of Dr. King) Congresswoman @repmarciafudge Rev. Dr. Joan Brown Campbell, Betty Pinkney and Margaret Mitchell were all winners. After watching their video, I was truly inspired by the work they’ve done and continue to do. I was reminded that change comes from within and that we have more work to do as a community!!
.
.
The concert started with Amazing Grace and ended with everyone standing to sing Life Every Voice and Sing. The Orchestra and Chorus were both amazing! I also thought it was cool that throughout the performance there were video montages and audio excerpts featuring Dr. King. Special moments of him in Cleveland and President Kennedy speaking at the City Club right after his assassination were also included. .
.
It was a great night to support the arts in #Cleveland and a great start to celebrating Dr. Kings legacy. Make sure next Monday you make it a day on and not a day off! Volunteer your time, or attend one of the many events hosted by @naacp_cleveland if you want to get your kids out, all the museums will be FREE! There’s so many options just do something!
